GRU is a Sunshine Coast manufacturer specialising in Tiny Houses on Wheels, Modular Homes and Custom Builds.Our approach combines thoughtful design with principles of Production Engineering, Lean Manufacturing and Quality Management.We plan before we build, optimise materials and workflow, standardise what makes sense and maintain quality checks throughout production. This helps us reduce unnecessary waste, handling and rework while maintaining consistent manufacturing standards.By keeping avoidable production costs under control, we can focus resources where they matter most — design, quality and delivering strong value to our clients.

CERTIFIED INSULATED PANEL SYSTEMS
Our buildings use purpose-made insulated building panel systems designed for Australian construction applications.
The panels combine durable pre-finished steel skins with an insulated, fire-retardant core, creating a strong and lightweight building envelope with excellent thermal performance.
The systems we use have undergone independent testing for relevant structural, thermal and fire performance, with applicable panel systems supported by recognised Australian product certification.
Unlike traditional construction methods that require several separate layers and finishing stages, insulated panel systems combine multiple functions into an efficient building solution.
This gives us a construction system that is well suited to off-site manufacturing, thermally efficient, durable, low maintenance and capable of producing clean, contemporary finishes.

MODULAR HOMES
GRU manufactures the modular structure in our Sunshine Coast facility.
On-site installation and regulated building work are undertaken by our licensed QBCC building partner, with building certification, engineering and other specialist services provided by appropriately licensed or qualified professionals as required.
This allows GRU to focus on what we do best — design, efficient off-site manufacturing and quality-controlled production — while regulated on-site work is handled by the appropriate professionals.
